The goals & the results

Nao is a Belgian chocolate brand that places great importance on fair trade and the happiness of everyone involved in the chocolate production chain. The brand’s mission is to provide customers with a chocolate experience that is not only delicious but also ethically and sustainably produced.

The “Sao Tomé Effect” is a campaign led by La Brigade, a Brussels-based agency, that promotes the brand’s commitment to fair trade and sustainability in its chocolate production process. As part of the campaign, we were tasked with creating a visual identity that aligned with the brand’s values and conveyed the message behind “The Sao Tome Effect.” Here are the projects we worked on for Nao Chocolate:

  • Art Direction: we created a logo and submark for the campaign, as well as a pattern and custom illustrations that were consistent with the brand’s identity and values. The typographic combinations and color palette were inspired by cocoa beans, adding a touch of authenticity to the campaign.
  • Web design: This visual identity was applied to the landing page of the campaign, providing a cohesive and compelling user experience. The landing page featured a call-to-action for visitors to purchase the chocolate bars with beans from Sao Tome and support fair trade.
  • Flyer: we designed a flyer that showcased the brand’s commitment to fair trade and sustainability in a visually appealing and informative way. The flyer featured the visual identity created for the campaign and provided customers with information about the chocolate bars with beans from Sao Tome.
  • Packaging: we were also responsible for reimagining the packaging of Nao chocolates. The packaging was redesigned to reflect the brand’s commitment to fair trade and sustainability, while also incorporating the visual identity created for “The Sao Tome Effect” campaign.

Overall, the visual identity and communication materials we created for Nao Chocolate helped to promote the brand’s commitment to fair trade and sustainability, while also providing a visually appealing and cohesive user experience for customers.
